Cincinnati Magazine’s August edition of its monthly “Musical Brunch” series will feature New Orleans Jazz with Mike Wade and the Nasty ‘Nati Brass Band at The Cincinnati Club on Sunday, August 28.
Each monthly Musical Brunch performance has received rave reviews from sold-out crowds coupled with one of the most delicious and over-the-top Sunday brunches found in the Queen City. The magazine’s popular Musical Brunch concept debuted in February this year.

Cincinnati Magazine Musical Brunch
Cincinnati’s talented and varied music scene will be fully showcased and celebrated throughout the remainder of this year as the featured musical genre and theme will change every month. Local acts and genres on tap include gospel, bluegrass, Brazilian Carnivale, holiday and more!
Tickets are $35 per person and include a live concert, an elaborate brunch with light lunch options and dessert bites, access to a Mimosa/Bellini bar, an outrageous garnish-it-yourself Bloody Mary bar, complimentary coffee and hot and iced tea, and complimentary parking.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. Advance registration is highly recommended.

Run to help bring freedom to trafficked women at the 13th Annual Cincinnati Aruna Run on Labor Day, 9/5 at Smale Riverfront Park.

In the past six years, the run has raised $470,000 for the cause! Cincinnati, Ohio, Thursday, June 30th — Ignite Entertainment is thrilled to announce the opening of the former, longstanding In Between Tavern. In Between Tavern is an iconic Cincinnati bar and restaurant located directly across from Great American Ballpark. This fifteenth concept to launch under the Ignite Entertainment Community makes the company one of the largest locally owned and operated hospitality groups in Cincinnati.
Welcoming The In Between Tavern
The original In Between Tavern began serving the home team and visitors an unmatched game day experience in 1969. The bar was closed in 2016, and the building was sold to the most recent owners who opened Corner Bistro, operating through early 2021. In Between Tavern became a staple for game days from the beginning, and in the new era, owner Juan Imeroni has revived, yet carefully preserved this Cincinnati destination while putting the “Ignite touch” on the venue. The bar features roughly 4500 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space, a freshly updated, expansive outdoor space, opportunities for private events in an indoor area off the main bar, and a fun and unique Cincinnati-themed lunch and pre-game menu.

What’s New
In Between’s menu has been curated to showcase Cincinnati’s love for sports and affinity for pork and sausages. Offerings come from local butchers, including Avril Bleh, Wassler’s, and Redden’s, available as “Cincinnati-Style Dogs” and BallparkStyle Dogs,” aptly named for the city’s eclectic neighborhoods and favorite sports rivalries. The menu additionally offers Smash-Burgers, available as a single 4oz patty, or as a double, triple, or home run (four patties), available with any of the four styles of burgers. The menu is rounded out with additional sandwiches, a selection of salads, wraps, and appetizers, including Authentic Argentine Empanadas from sister business, Ché in Over-the-Rhine.
“Bringing back to life an iconic destination like In Between is a dream” said owner, Juan Imeroni. “It’s everything I love about this city, in an amazing location, and we’ll serve the home team and visitors alike, just like they did here previously, for over fifty years. We’ve made some upgrades, and done some fine-tuning, but otherwise, we wanted to preserve all the Cincinnati sports history that was here before, add to to it, and make it a place for people to enjoy what’s on the walls and tables around them just as much as they enjoy the food and drinks.”
In addition to the revamped outdoor space, Imeroni is adding a retractable garage door opening in the main bar, bringing both the indoor and outdoor space together, with plans to extend the retractable door opening later this year. A dedicated private event space has been carved out in the annexed room that will be able to entertain groups of up to fifty guests, and comfortable lounge seating has been brought in to enjoy the games on the nearly twenty flat screen TVs.

In Between Tavern hosted a soft opening event on Saturday, June 25th, with Bengal Jim’s “Jungle to the Hall” event, rallying for select Bengals players to be enshrined in the Football Hall of Fame, in Canton, Ohio. The event was attended by over 200 Bengal’s fans, and featured past Bengal’s greats, with a themed scavenger hunt, door prizes, and music. Tickets for the event were sold out, and benefitted three local charities: the Ken Anderson Alliance, the Ken Riley Foundation, and the Cincinnati Music Accelerator.

The Banks is one of the most happening places to be and there’s always a party on the weekends to join in on! When the sun goes down this area is just as beautiful with all of the city lights reflecting off the river, take a walk on one of the bridges to get the full spectrum!
The parks here are beyond amazing and there are several of them that offer something for everyone. Eden Park in Mt. Adams is the perfect place to have a leisure day and the best place to see views of the city. There are overlooks at the park that give you an amazing view of the river leading into downtown Cincinnati and of Kentucky, making it a great area for taking pictures. Washington Park in OTR is a major place to go to for events, live music, and pure enjoyment! It’s dog friendly and has a patio with refreshments to enjoy on a hot day.
Art, nature, and science come together at the Krohn Conservatory. Krohn is located in Eden Park in Mt. Adams and is truly an enchanting experience. The butterfly shows that they have there are magnificent and really give you the opportunity to connect with wildlife and nature in a way that’s approachable and exciting. There is a waterfall inside that has a creek with fish and turtles inhabiting it, making it feel like you’re in the rainforest. The building has sections for different species of plants and walking from one room to the next transforms a new environment to discover.
We have one of the top rated zoo’s in the country! A zoo that is not only beautiful but is also educational and fun. The zoo does a great job to help wildlife and nature through their Saving Species program, animal care, and by going completely green with solar power. There are different events to check out throughout the year and your trip there will feel like you’re on a real exploration of adventure.

Cincinnati has always been a hub for music and live performances! There are several venues to check out that offer a variety of different acts that appeal to every type of style and genre. Music Hall, Memorial Hall, and The Taft Theater are historic venues that are absolutely stunning that feature talent all over the world. We also have the Aronoff and Playhouse in the park for well known shows and a few concert venues that feature locals and bring in big name performers.
We have some of the best museums around and there are so many to choose from! Union Terminal is one of the most incredible museums that takes you into a different world of fun and education. The building alone is a sight to see and the inside is breathtaking! There are many art museums to choose from like the Contemporary Arts Center and The Cincinnati Art Museum, which are both free to the public. We also have the American Sign Museum that is a real gem and will have you in awe when visiting!
Go to a game! We are lucky to have major sports teams in the city and no matter what your favorite sport is you’ll be sure to have a great time at any of the games! The Cincinnati Reds baseball team and the Cincinnati Bengals football team play and practice in stadiums right next to each other, with our Cyclones Hockey team in Heritage Bank Center just down the street. And now we officially have a soccer stadium for the FC Cincinnati team!

10. Take a Walk Downtown
Take in as much of the city scenery as you possibly can while you’re exploring downtown. You can take the streetcar, bike, or simply take a walk around to experience some really wonderful things about the city.
