CINCINNATI— Main Street Ventures is pleased to announce the launch of the Inventure Entrepreneurship Academy for high school students in Cincinnati. Created as the next iteration of Entrepreneurs Change The World led by Cintrifuse last summer, Inventure Entrepreneurship Academy will further develop the entrepreneurial mindset in our region’s high school students and inspire next-gen leaders. Inventure Entrepreneurship Academy is a 2-week immersive experience for high school students interested in entrepreneurship.

This program takes students through the ideation process, teaches them valuable leadership skills, and provides business education from regional experts. At the conclusion of the program, participating teams will pitch their ideas for up to $5,000 in prize funding for their venture. This free program will take place in person from June 13 – 17 and June 21 – 24 and is open to the first 50 High School Students (Rising Freshman – Senior) who register. Registration opens on April 4th.

Main Street Ventures believes there is an incredible opportunity to support entrepreneurship at an early age and connect young leaders to the nationally ranked university programs right here in our region. Connections to a startup community that supports young entrepreneurs are crucial to retaining local talent into college and beyond. Now is the time to invest in the next generation of startup founders and community leaders.

“There’s never been a better time to be an entrepreneur, and we’re passionately committed to building an early, diverse pipeline of future startup leaders. We’re excited to partner with Main Street Ventures to turn this into a nationally recognized entrepreneurial training program. We know from two years of experience that extreme challenges drive the best innovation, and our youth bring outsize ambition to areas like sustainability, inclusion, and health.” – Pete Blackshaw, CEO of Cintrifuse

Main Street Ventures is working to become the community-funded initiative that makes entrepreneurship possible for everyone in Greater Cincinnati. With that initiative in mind, supporting these up- and-coming leaders will allow for the potential for young entrepreneurs to make an impact beyond the classroom.

About Main Street Ventures

Main Street Ventures is working to become the community-funded initiative that makes entrepreneurship possible for everyone in Greater Cincinnati, by supporting entrepreneurs with what they need, when they need it: Capital, Connections, and Education. We look to support all good ideas and founders, but with a particular focus on women and minority entrepreneurs who have been historically under-represented in the startup community.

Main Street Ventures launched in 1999 with a focus on providing tech companies with a physical structure and wifi network. In 2005, MSV launched The Brandery, a seed-stage startup accelerator that leverages the expertise of the Cincinnati region – namely branding, marketing, and design. As the needs of the entrepreneurial ecosystem have evolved, Main Street Ventures launches new initiatives to meet the challenges of the future. For more information, visit mainstventures.org.
