Wearing of the Green in NKY

Restaurants, stores and bars are getting creative this year, helping patrons celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in safe, fun ways.

The party starts early with Luck of the Levee on Saturday March 13 at Newport on the Levee. In addition to live music and Irish jigging, the Bridgeview Box Park vendors will be offering seasonal menu items.

If your Irish décor needs a little something extra, Local Studio 325 is hosting craft workshops to create St. Patrick’s Day gnomes. These cute little guys will look right at home next to your green beer.

Get up with the sun on March 17 and head down to Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue. The live music up and down the street begins at 7:00 am and doesn’t stop until 10:00 pm. The festivities start at Darkness Brewing and we have been told to expect shenanigans! See the lineup here

Molly Malone’s, Covington’s quintessential Irish pub, is also providing green beer for breakfast. Their “kegs and eggs” will be served starting at 7:00. The first 100 guests will receive a free T-shirt. Reservations can be made online. Molly’s will also have live Irish music, pipers, dancers, beer in three colors (green, brown and black) and plenty of whiskey. If you’d rather come on Saturday the 13th, they will have brunch until 1:00, followed by their regular menu, as well as live music and dancers.

Even though everyone’s favorite Irish holiday will be a little more subdued this year than in the past, you can still celebrate in style in NKY.
